Fish bones & prayers

Exciting last morning in China. John decided to taste some fish on the breakfast buffet...thinking it was hot boneless fish and swallowed a very bony piece of chilled fish and got a bone lodged in his throat. After going to the Western doctor in the hotel he was sent to the local hospital...yikes. The bellboy took him and got him in quickly while Sadie and I stayed at the hotel and tried to get a little packing up accomplished. The doctor removed the bone which was quite long and spiky. John said the hospital was a little sketchy...probably a good thing I didnt see it. :) Thanking God that it was a simple fix and not a more in depth procedure. No more fish! We are back on track and packing fast. One hour to go and we will be outta here and headed home!!!

Sadie with Miko, our guide the second week in Guangzhou
If we come to mind over the next 30 something hours, please pray for us!

Pray for safety and smooth travels and layovers.

Pray that God will continue to prepare Sadie's heart for this next transition into our home and family.

Pray that God prepares Carter and Myah's little hearts to accept and love Sadie as well.

Pray for sleep! For us and for Sadie on the plane, and ease of jet lag when we get back.

Pray for patience and understanding and gentleness for us. Our sweet girl is going through so much confusing change and the last couple of days this has resulted in some frustrating behaviors. All completely understandable and expected in her situation (and still overall she is handling things very well) but when trying to get things accomplished, get from place to place, keep her contained and entertained on the plane, and/or sleep, we need a little extra patience and wisdom in how we respond and show her love and comfort and understanding.

Thank you all for your prayers, love, and support! We have enjoyed getting to experience our daughter's birth country and are looking forward to getting her settled in her new HOME!!
