This gives us a better idea of when we should be able to travel. Barring any major delays, we should be able to go get our girl end of February or beginning of March! There are people out there who like crunching the numbers and predicting the dates and they have predicted a Gotcha Day of 3.3.14 for the families who got LOA this week. Praying for this date or earlier - we would love to be surprised by a February Gotcha Day!!! They are predicting March because in our wait for travel, several holidays fall that could cause delay - Christmas, MLK day, and the biggest for China, Chinese New Year. Please pray that in between all of this, our paperwork moves as smoothly as possible so that we can bring Sadie home! Pray that it all is in God's perfect timing. Also, please pray with us that God will be using this time to prepare our hearts and prepare Sadie's heart for the transition and for each other. Months ago we bought a childrens book about a little boy whose family was adopting a baby girl from China. Just in the last couple of weeks, Carter has started asking to read this book ALL the time....this makes me wonder if God is preparing his little heart for Sadie. He and Myah both love seeing her videos and pictures, and they will point out her stocking above our fireplace and say "this one is Sadie's", but at 2-1/2 and 18 months, I know it is hard for them to have an understanding of what is happening.
We are able to request an update at this point. Hoping for new pictures and videos soon as well as answers to the 10 questions we were allowed to ask about our daughter. We can request it but it is up to the orphanage whether they decide to give it, so please pray for this as well.
For those who ordered long-sleeve t-shirts, they are in! You should receive yours this week! Thank you again to everyone who has supported us in our efforts to raise money to bring Sadie home. We love you and are so grateful for you.
Hope you all have a WONDERFUL Christmas!!!
